Dear Parent/Guardians:
Welcome Back to School…and welcome to our new students and their families! The first week of school went well thanks to the efforts of the faculty, staff and various members of our school community. We look forward to working with you and providing your child with a rewarding year of learning. As we begin a new school year, I ask your cooperation with the following:
Emergency Forms
Please return these forms immediately, if you have not already done so.
Parent/Student Handbook
Each family will receive a new handbook with this letter. In addition, in your handbook, you will find a sheet of “Addendums and Revisions”. Please be sure you read the handbook carefully and acquaint yourself with the school policies and procedures.
Lunch
Students who bring lunch to school should have it with them in the morning. Parents should not be dropping off lunch during the day. Please no soda or glass containers.
***Lunch ordered through the school lunch program must be paid for by the Friday prior to the day the lunch is being served.
***The lunch program will be selling snacks during the children’s lunch period. $.25 - $1.00
Morning Arrival
Please do not block parked cars of neighborhood driveway when dropping off or picking up your child.
***FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL OF OUR CHILDREN, BE AWARE OF CHILDREN GETTING IN TO AND OUT OF CARS AND CROSSING THE STREET.
Morning arrival and dismissal time are not appropriate times for parent/teacher conferences. Teachers are responsible for supervision of students at these times and should not be distracted. If you need to speak with your child’s teacher, please call or send in a note requesting an appointment.
School Uniform
All students are expected to be in the proper school uniform. The uniform policy appears in the Parent/Student Handbook. Students who violate the uniform policy will receive one written warning before receiving a detention. Please make sure your child is in compliance with all aspects of the uniform policy, including those guidelines pertaining to shoes, hair, jewelry, make-up and skirt length.
